摘要：以自己45年来的学术研究、造园教育、大学运营和社会工作为基础，从环境、社会（生活方式）以及文化（风景）三个方面深刻论述了风景园林的多样性，探索了21世纪风景园林的发展方向。主要内容包括：明治神宫内外苑工程的“多样性”和“统一性”、 社丛中的“科学的多样性原理”与人林分离的“造园技术”、“国际生物多样性年2010”与“里山计划”、提供人的多样性与多种空间的世界的造园史、基于安定性的风景论以及面向可持续发展的地球社会的环境学。

Abstract: Based on the author’s 45 years’ experience in academic research, LA education, university management and social activities, this paper explored the diversity and trend of landscape architecture in the 21st century in terms of environmental, social and cultural aspects. It also illustrated the diversity and unity of the inner and outside gardens in Meiji Jingu, the science diversity principle of forestry and the gardening craft, the 2010 International Year of Biodiversity and Satoyama Initiatives. In addition, It introduced the world gardening history, a stability-based landscape theory and a sustainability-based environment theory.
